Workshops
Although not currently free lancing as a presenter, I have recently begun offering some of my knowledge in educational technology in the form of workshops.  This summer of 2010, I will be providing my school district with numerous offerings of two workshops: Social Bookmarking and an Introduction to Web 2.0 Tools for Education.

I earnestly believe that social bookmarking can help faculty collaborate on levels never before seen widespread.  No longer will teachers need to rely so heavily on asking their colleagues if they can borrow/use material from their "filing cabinet".  Faculty can scour the bookmarks sets of those in their networks as well as anyone worldwide for links to ideas, lessons, activities, and more. In an age of Personal Learning Communities and action research, it makes it much easier and more efficient for people to share information, stayed organized, and gather mountains of effective ideas and tools.  The possibilities are vast.  In my social bookmarking workshop, I cover everything from defining what it is to demonstrating how it can effectively help educators of all capacities.

Ever went searching for an online tool to help you accomplish something in your lesson and get lost among the myriad of tools on the web to do it?  Or, in fact, did you get frustrated because you couldn't find just the right tool that you needed.  In my Introduction to Web 2.0 Tools for Education, I help sift through the infinite options available.  I will break the options down into categories of types of tools and then introduce some of the most popular and effective tools available in those categories.  Whether it's audio and visual tools, presentation or collaborative, or even animation or blogging tools, I will help demonstrate some uses and provide a forum to brainstorm new and innovative ways to reach out with them.
If interested in being a part of these workshops or in having me present them in your district, learn more by contacting me here.

Delicious
The advent of social bookmarking truly takes collaboration and organization to a new level. I like the idea that whatever useful links and resources I find I can easily organize for myself and share with others.  Feel free to explore my Delicious links here and find resources that may help you, too!

Many of my links will take you to innovative and highly effective Web 2.0 tools for education.  If unfamiliar with using Delicious, try begin browsing the numerous links using the "tags".  Find tags that may relate to content you're looking for and you will find associated links in that category.

If interested in becoming part of my network, please shoot me a message and add me to your own network!
